Dear Oma Global Foundation Tour Schools in Anambra in the campaign against Drug Abuse(Pictures)

The President, Dear Oma Global Foundation, Ukoma Ezeokoye says peer pressure is one of the reasons teens and young adults do drugs and has advised the youths to shun bad friends.
She said this when her team visited students of Pioneer Secondary School Umuchu in Aguata LGA Anambra State, as the Not for Profit organisation in collaboration with Wadada News For Kids, Netherlands tour Secondary Schools in the Crusade against Drug Abuse.

According to Ms. Ukoma, the tour is designed to promote healthy living with hashtag #CHOOSELIFE, crusading against the abuse of substance.
She said the movement came about on her return from the Netherlands after a Journalism Training course on MEDIA CAMPAIGNS FOR DEVELOPMENT AND SOCIAL CHANGE by THE RADIO NETHERLANDS TRAINING CENTER in February 2019.

Her project assignment is to reduce the rate and possibly in nearest future put a stop to the degree drug is being abused by young adults and teens in Anambra state which in turn kills or mar them.

Also speaking, Social Change Journalist, George Natural Onuorah said the movement will hold in secondary schools in Aguata LGA, extend to Orumba North and South, and to other Local Government Areas in the state.

Meanwhile, Educationist Kingsley Gilbert said the tour which aims at crusading against dangers of drug abuse and help drug addicts fight it, persuade young adults and teens who are abusing substance to stop, achieve social and behavioural change in young adults and teens will hold in 25 schools in June and July.
